Janet officially calls Super Bowl incident an 'accident.'

In a recent interview with Ebony magazine, Janet Jackson echoed the early response from Super Bowl partner Justin Timberlake in calling the half-time show mishap just that.

     It was not intentional. It was a costume accident, Jackson told the mag. The interview, the first since the Feb. 1 breast-baring performance, will be in the April issue. It was an accident, she says. That was basically it.

     Timberlake said immediately after the incident, in which he choreographically ripped off Jackson’s right breast plate, exposing Jackson and her sun-shaped nipple shield, that it was a “wardrobe malfunction.”

     This interview is the first time Jackson has specifically called the peep an accident.

      In the article, Jackson also gives readers the inside scoop on her relationship with Jermaine Dupri: “I've never been in a relationship when my friends adore him and my family just loves him. It's a first me for me.”

     Awww. Who would’ve guessed Janet’s first time was with Jermaine Dupri?

     Though many may have seen just about enough of Jackson. Fans can see more of the pop star when she hosts on “Saturday Night Live” on April 10.

     In other Janet news, Jackson has rented a condo in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood, according to a published report. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution said that the singer will share a hallway with Coretta Scott King. (King is expected to be moving into her new digs soon.)
