Daryl McDaniels of Run DMC has launched his own search in a bid to bring the killer of his friend Jam Masta Jay to justice.

Jay was murdered in New York on October 30, 2002, and police are still looking for cluses as to who was responsible.

"Why didn't Jay get shot up? If I'm here with you and a muthaf***er come in with a gun, I don't care what you did, we gonna get shot up. He got shot once in the neck, then the suspects left. Whoever f***in' shot Jay knew him, 'cause he was sitting." says McDaniels.
