KUBE 93 Pre Party at the Showbox

This year's 7th Annual KUBE 93 Pre-Summer Jam Party will be hosted by Bungalo/Eup````````onic Records national recording artist and producer, DJ Quik, . DJ Quik's latest single "Trouble" is top five at most urban stations around the country and rising. Industry veteran DJ Quik will also perform a 30 minute set of his latest and favorite material. The Honorable Mayor Greg Nickels will be personally presenting the Mayor's Award for Musical Excellence, Business Acumen and Community Involvement. Eric Powers, Program Director for KUBE 93 FM will be presenting the KUBE 93 FM Independent Northwest Hip-Hop/Rap/R&B Artist of the Year Award. Tony B, Drea and DJ SupaSam of KUBE 93's hot "new" music show, "Future Flavors" will present the Future Flavors Single of the Year Award.

Also performing will be Elektra Records newest signing "Joonie Boy." Joonie Boy is a talented singer/songwriter who actually hails from Seattle. The hottest local talent as heard on KUBE 93's Future Flavors will be performing as well: Unexpected Arrival, Byrdie and Central Intelligence. There will also be a sneak preview live performance by Noc On Wood recording artists Nocturnal Rage. The private reception will take place from 8:00 PM until 9:15 PM and features a live performance by a northwest favorite, vocalist Korla Wygal. Doors open to the public at 9:30 PM. Tickets are scaled at $15.00 in advance.

KUBE 93’s Summer Jam is the premier summer concert in the region and the KUBE 93 7th Annual Pre-Summer Jam Party expands that success by partnering with local business, community and honoring northwest talent. "The Pre-Summer Jam Party has become an intricate part of the Summer Jam experience," say's producer Tony B. "The Pre-Summer Jam Party has it's own unique vibe with a Summer Jam flavor." The Seventh Annual KUBE 93 Pre-Summer Jam Party will be hosted at the Showbox Theatre, 1426 1st Ave, Seattle Washington, Wednesday, July 17th, 2002.

Following the performances and between sets KUBE 93's DJ SupaSam and DJ Sekou will be keeping the dance floor hot spinning Hip-Hop, R&B and Rap hits. Look for surprise visits from local celebrities, summer jam artists as well as national record executives.
